Measurement of the rain rate instantaneous value using acoustic method
Kresta, Daniel ; Poliak, Juraj (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
This thesis deals with implementation of the rainfall rate measurement using an acoustic method. It is divided into four parts. In the first part of the thesis a necessary theoretical knowledge is analysed. The second part contains a design of a workplace used for the measurement. The third part presents and analyses important experimental recordings acquired in the workplace. Then all measured values are processed and applied in the measuring program. The last part summarizes results of the thesis, advantages and disadvantages of using the acoustic rainfall rate meter.
Srážkové poměry na vybraných lokalitách Moravy
Štos, Lukáš
In connection with the expected climate change caused by intense human activity is expected temporal and spatial variation in total precipitation, precipitation intensity change and change of precipitation distribution, changes in evaporation, changes in ground water stock and changes in water supplies in rivers and reservoirs. The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the precipitation conditions in selected Moravian sites (Drahanská vrchovina Highlands -- site of Rájec, the Bílé Karpaty Mts. -- site of Štítná, Moravian-Silesian Beskids Mts. -- site of Bílý Kříž) in the 2012 and 2013 and make a comparison with long-term averages. Total annual precipitation sums were lower at the site of Bílý Kříž and Štítná in 2012 and 2013 than long-term averages determined for these sites, annual precipitation sum at the site of Rájec differed from the long-term average only in 2013. Number of rain days with daily precipitation sum < 10 mm was lower at all sites and in both studied years than the long-term average. The lowest number of days without rainfall was observed in both studied years at the site of Rájec, the highest one at the site of Štítná. Differences in precipitation sums, precipitation intensity and precipitation distribution were caused mainly by the location and altitude of selected study sites. Comparing the amount and intensity of precipitation at the selected study sites in the 2012 and 2013, it was found that these values differ from long-term averages determined for these sites.
Short duration precipitation extremes in the Czech Republic
Roub, Tomáš ; Hanel, Martin (advisor) ; Máca, Petr (referee)
The aim of this paper is to assess precipitation records from 182 monitoring stations. For every station intensities of short duration rain events are evaluated and compare with intensities presented in the work of Josef Trupl Intensity krátkodobých dešťů v povodích Labe, Odry a Moravy. For comparison always nearest monitoring station with an appropriate altitude was selected. The comparison is done for 3 data groups based on quality code of the records. Furthermore, stations with overlapping records are compared. The review part deals with rainfall and the methods of assessment of short duration rainfall intensities. The following part describes the selected historical rainfall series, which serve as a basis for estimation of design rainfall.
